nice watch but as a divers watch it needs a screw down crown and protection around the crown

GTO461It has a screw down crown and there are plenty of highly respected divers without crown guards.

NikoToscanididnt see that in the description, but a crown guard is paramount in a divers watch if you are using it for "diving" and not just showering or swimming especially at that price

GTO461In fairness I think this is designed as a "desk diver" really. It's about the retro style rather than being a tool watch.

DinglebellsI've got a couple of beater watches so I wouldn't wear mine for any tough activities, let alone diving. That being said, it's a reissue of Oris' first dive watch, which was actually used for diving. There's also video on Youtube of a reviewer diving with his Oris 65. If I had to take mine into the water, I wouldn't worry about it at all.
It's also worth pointing out that few if any dive watch owners actually use their dive watches for diving. It's been years since I did any diving but, even back then, everyone had switched to wrist-mounted digital dive computers.

GTO461Most drivers do not wear both but hey, go with what you (claim) to know. Most divers I know wear one or two dive computers. One guy I know who is a commercial diver wears a dive computer and a G-Shock. As he's told me more than once, the Suunto is for work and the Submariner is for the bar.

NikoToscanii dont claim to know, i been diving for 35 years and i do know everyone here in australia i dive with wears both a dive watch and a wrist computer, we always carry a back up whether its a timing device for air or a knife etc. If you are a diver this is common practise
