I wish I could give this razor zero stars. I received the 'stealth' finish razor about eight months ago. When I first started shaving with it, this 'perfect' razor did not give me a close shave at all. And since it doesn't have any adjustability, I learned to slightly loosen the handle to change the blade angle--an admittedly half-assed way to get a better shave. Then, the other day, I noticed that the coating at the end of the handle has started to flake off. I've never dropped or abused this razor, but this razor with less than eight months of use is losing its 'diamond' hard coating. I've been told by Massdrop customer service that there is nothing they can do about this situation because it's past the 30-day limit for returns. But when a product that cost this much, and is supposed to be a premium product does not do what it claims (best shave ever) and is flawed (coating flaking off), one would hope that the 'store' you bought it from would offer some help to rectify the situation. Massdrop customer service has done absolutely nothing to make this right, and Stashed & Found, the supposed manufacturer, doesn't even have contact information on their website. If you buy this razor, I hope you enjoy it; but if you don't, or if it shows flaws after 30 days, good luck getting any customer service from Massdrop or Stashed & Found.

Well built, super tight tolerances, easy gliding. All my other DE razors have been relegated to a drawer, including Merkurs and others. Wish the pole was longer, would love if the company offered that as an add-on. Works best for my face with Feathers and Sharks, less aggressive with Derbys.

I have been wet shaving for 10 years wanted to try a different razor. Haven't been able to get a close shave yet. I guess I need to figure out how to hold this safety razor. Nice build a bit to light weight for my taste. Handle to short for my hands.

Lovely razor in design and feel. There's definite quality here, plus the Diamond Like Coating allows it to glide --truly glide--over my face with no fear of nicks or weepers. The Oristo is indifferent to both blades and lather--and is limited only by the technique of the user. A truly exceptional razor--and one I wish was still available, as I would love to own a backup.

Hi, I had this razor from several months, and actually was my first safety razor, and it's great for small and medium hands, probably if you had big hands you will need something bigger.
The quality is really great, I compare this with other similar razors and I find the quality and details better on this one. If you buy one, I recommend you to buy the DLC covered, I think it's called "stealth" version., that will be give you a better and smooth shave than the plan stainless version.
I recommend this razor, it's great and very very well design.
