I just got my pair. They sound really good! I'm quite impressed. They are quite flat and analytical, which is something that I personally enjoy. They definitely give a sound similar to IEMs. The treble is especially nice, there isn't really an 'edge' to it, but it is still very crisp. The bass is a little bit lacking, even with the more bass-heavy tips, but it has just enough presence to make any non-bass heavy genre sound very good. I think rock probably sounds the best, I've been listening to a bit of Chicago and Bad Company, both of which sound absolutely fantastic. Also, a few of the more laid-back Coldplay tracks (Clocks, Yellow) sound very nice. The earphones don't do a great job at isolation, but it still isn't too bad for people around you (maybe it would be worse in a quiet environment, but I didn't have much of a problem with it). This seems to give the earphones an impressive soundstage. Although it doesn't come close to circumaural open headphones, it is still very impressive as far as earphones go. Also, it's worth noting that it doesn't take much to power these. I normally find myself turning my iPhone's volume almost all the way up, but these headphones can reach a comfortable volume at about 50%. I noticed there was a bit more distortion than with my higher-impedance headphones, but I'm not sure if that's because of the 16ohm rating, or just the fact that these are relatively cheap earbuds.
For the price, these really are very impressive. I highly recommend that you at least give these some serious consideration, should another drop come along.
