Old miyota movement, non hacking, faux patina, 100 m water resistant for what looks like a diver watch.. Why is this watch worth USD 550 exactly?

Kidding aside, I agree. I wouldn't spend $550 for five of these, much less one. Having said that, I've no doubt it will make a few people giddy with excitement. Fine by me. Can't have the drops page be wall to wall Seiko/Orient/Glycine all the time. Though I wouldn't buy one of these it's still good to see MD finding watches that are a bit off the beaten path. Good luck to those getting into the drop.
