Tried the trial on ODAC and O2 amp on my HD600 It was fun, it really feels like the sound are coming from real speakers in the room but it does amplify all the clippings so bad. It's fine on a good track but when I put on some pop rock, it becomes unlistenable. (I know I can turn the software volume down but then I'd have to do it all the time when I switch around, it just doesn't feel healthy.)
My main gripe, and is actually what is keeping me from buying is the interface design, everything looks so rough and I'm not sure if I want to see it again and again. Design does matter.
piriya33Hi piriya33, If you like, you can turn down the input volume sliders in the Out Of Your Head Control Panel to avoid clipping. If you do it this way, then you will not have to adjust the volume level in your media player app.
Just note that the volume levels in the Out Of Your Head Control Panel are saved separately for each speaker preset since some presets may require different levels to avoid clipping depending on your system. But the good thing is that once you adjust those levels, they will stay that way.
As far as the GUI design goes, yes, I agree it's pretty rough, but functional. I wish we had the resources to do a more sophisticated design. Maybe someday. But once you get it setup how you want it, you can just minimize the control panel after you launch it and not have to look at it too much. ;-).
We are always looking to make Out Of Your Head better, but to be honest, most of our resources goes into enhancing the performance and functionality of the processing rather than the design.
Thanks for downloading and trying Out Of Your Head though.
