ibex-docthe way i look at it, i have OR, MHW, Arcteryx, and Patagonia gear that is 7+ years old and still functionally + cosmetically amazing...and marmot, osprey, + REI gear that's 3 years old and looks like it's been run over by a truck ten times. So being that my osprey day pack looks disgusting i figured i'd upgrade.
How are the shoulder straps for padding? I've seen some small packs with next to no shoulder padding, but they're designed for only a few hours of use at most at a time.
RinyreIt is probably a bit late... But mine arrived today and it seems to me that there is little to no padding on the shoulder straps. This makes the bag itself lighter. As the straps are so wide they should be pretty comfortable with a fairly full bag. This really isn't intended to be a big bag for a long trip. The intention is for this to be more of a day pack, easy to pack in another pack and then use this for side trips.
Having said that I reckon I could pack for a couple of days hiking with just this pack.
