A faithful tribute to the legendary 5F1 Tweed Champ, the Panama Conqueror 5 has everything you loved about the original, plus a passive attenuator to deliver that sweet tweed breakup at whisper volumes. This 5-watt, single-channel amp is easy to use and a pleasure to look at, enclosed in a handsome Spanish cedar and Palo Mora cabinet with a removable front grill. Along with a 12-inch Aged V30 driver, it features a 12AX7 preamp tube, a 6V6 power tube, and a 7-pin miniature 6z4 rectifier that brings the classic low-wattage tweed tones you just can’t get from solid-state rectifiers. Use it in the studio or bring it to any gig—from large outdoor stages to more intimate venues.

Based in (you guessed it) Panama, Panama Guitars builds high-quality amps and cabinet speakers using local woods sourced from the foot of a volcano in a small town called Boquete. The Conqueror 5 amp is named in honor of Muddy Waters, who sings about Johnny the Conqueror—a folk hero in the Hoodoo tradition—in his seminal “Hoochie Coochie Man.”
