I'm really happy as I got it 9 days before I was expecting. Would deal with them again
Here's my timeline : 2017-03-03 - Joined the Drop $419 + $35 (Shipping to Canada) (expecting to be delivered on March 29th) 2017-03-09 - Drop ended 2017-03-10 - Group order submitted. Shipping expected to be on March 29th 2017-03-18 - Bulk order shipped from vendor to Massdrop warehouse 2017-03-20 - Camera shipped to Montreal 2017-03-22 - Camera arrived - Carrier UPS. Duty/Taxes $95 ($72 usd)
I got a little scared when I googled " The receiver must pay the duties or taxes due on the package" after receiving it from UPS. People were saying UPS charges up to 50% of the value for brokerage, but looks it's included on the shipping from Massdrop.
Paid $700cad total. I could've bought one here with kit lens for around $1200cad (tax included) , but I'm already plenty of lenses, so I decided to take the shot.
