ChristophLNot really if you look at the whole package not just the movement. sapphire glass, 200m WR etc...Give me a Miyota 8000 or 9000 series any day over a Swiss ETA 2824. Just as accurate and cheaper to repair or replace should anything go wrong.
james99I do like the myiota 8000 really much (i own a watch with such a movement myself). But Sapphire and 20om doesn't,by any means, justifie the "normal" price. I own a Junkers g38 with a Miyota 8205 and 10m and I only payed around 250€. Ofcourse that's not a watch with 200m atm or Sapphire but these parts are not worth 250€ more.
CX100That's not what I said. In this price range there are high quality in-house- movements you could Invest to (Glashütte Original f.e). But frankly my dear, its not about paying 5k for an ETA, we are talking about paying 500$ for a entry level Miyota movement.
ChristophLThats why we all love Massdrop, the prices here are way below the retail prices! Doubt you can find better prices on PANZERA or most other watch brands Massdrop sells anywhere else?
ChristophLAt this price its very good. I bought the silver case model, and paid a lot more. Wish I knew about Massdrop before I bought it damn it! But I can tell you i'm very impressed with the build quality and after 2 weeks it hasn't skipped a beat. Sniffing around for maybe the black one on here now...can maybe average out my total purchase price by owning 2, at least thats how I justified it to my wife :)
