The straps are intending to capitalize off the absurd DW watch debacle because the dial design is similar. It's super easy to get aftermarket straps. Most factory produced straps for watches $500 and under are typically junk anyway IMO. I never wear them. I personally make custom leather straps, so it's easy for me to solve, however, there are a few good options for quality factory made straps at lower prices.
My biggest issue with this is that the movement itself is definitely not a $400 watch quality movement. I can ignore that around the $200 mark, though there are other similar watches in design and execution with equal or better movements available on Ebay for less than $200. So, given that this is the only watch in this style that is 44mm dia and 15mm thick, the real sticking point is the mineral glass rather than a sapphire crystal. That really is a "must have" for a quality watch. Many $200 watches and nearly all $400 watches will come with this.

Agree with your points except for the glass. You don't want sapphire on DOMED glass, it has a tendency to be break more easily than hardened mineral especially if knocked on the curved edge. A lot of higher end Bauhaus design watches such as Junghans (also on sale on MASSDROP now for a great price), use plexiglass (whplastic) to get around this issue, which in my opinion is not the best, although it will avoid breakage more than the sapphire, it is heavily prone to surface scratches, and a lot more than hardened mineral crystal
