Product Description
Able to carry cameras of nearly any size, the newly redesigned Peak Design Camera Capture clip is smaller, lighter, and more durable than its predecessor. With an all-metal design and an ultra-smooth anodized finish, the clip can fit straps up to 2.5 inches wide and roughly an inch thick Read More
If you wear the clip on your belt, can you sit down with an a6500 and a prime lens, like a Sigma 56mm? How about wearing it on the side, like a gun? Does it restrict your movements? Will it press against my skin causing sores?
Anything I should look out for?
Thanks.
Reason is for when sitting. As long as it's not a long lens, it's only pointed towards your crotch area, not nestled in there.
I carry for hours, the a6xxx lines are lightweight. You'll notice the weight more with their a7 series cameras but it's not an issue at all. Just have that belt snug if u have something heavier or it will tug at it and start leaning down.
This a great product, well designed and built quality. Their bags (5L sling is perfect for your a6500) are just as well made. Their competitor is spiderholster.com if curious which is twice the price, also very well made (but makes for putting camera down awkward as its clip has that spoke) and why Capture became a hit for its price a few years back with their v1.
LefibonacciIt's $69.99 on the Peak website. All you get here is free shipping, so sure you save like 6 bucks. I'd rather buy it from them and not have to deal with Massdrop customer support for any reason, like if the product is defective.
Ah I see, you get a 20% discount at checkout. Alright, not a bad deal, saving about $20. An additional clip is also $10 less than from Peak.
yokkenI tend to buy from local businesses. Which, for me, MassDrop is a local business - one which happens to have the best price (locally) on the capture clip that I can find. Everything else is brick-&-mortar which is cause for price increase.
I am not a pro photographer but I do travel a lot and carry my camera with me wherever I go. I shoot with a Nikon D 750 FX and it is not a lightweight camera - especially with the lens I prefer. I have been so please with my Peak Design clip, it is easy to use and walking 6-8 hours/day on a recent vacation, it kept my camera evenly weighted and comfortable to carry when it was not being used. I have version 3 and I do use it with a Peak Design Pro Pad and clip on my belt most of the time (not a fan of back packs). Previously had only used it for a couple of hours at a time on my belt. My husband also has the Clip and uses it with his binoculars and his wearable action camera. He has been pleased with how easy it is to mount and how durable it has been.
I also have the Peak Design strap and it is the BEST strap I have ever had. I do highly recommend the Peak Clip (Pro Pad, Slide Strap, and Clutch Strap) Love them all and very pleased.

Would love something like this for my phone - I carry it on my chest pack at for work and need something strings and reliable while I run around a film set.
