I use these all the time now but never without the added piece that distributes the weight. This is on day and large backpacks. I don't use this on a belt as it doesn't hang well.

Dr.McCoyIt may work for some but it really pulls on the belt, which is understandable since there is a fair bit of weight with the camera. On the backpack strap it works great. I have used the device for a few 1000 miles now. I have 4 of them and the support under each one and would not use the clips without them.

jamato8Hmm, in that case I wonder if it would work for me. My cameras are 1000g or less, lens included. How secure would you feel having to run with it? Not fun for sure - but would it stay on?

Dr.McCoySecure is not a problem. I use the Canon 5DIII and Sony A7RII with the 24-70 2.8 and up. It is the carrying of everything. The padded stabilizer that can be purchased that I feel needs to be use with the system.
