They call it the 'slide', but the camera doesn't slide on the strap, does it? It's not a closed loop slide like the SunSniper or Black Rapid RS-series?

RidevaDemocritusI'm not entirely sure (don't own one), but from the look of their product videos, the strap has a grippy side and a smooth side. But yeah, it definitely doesn't have a closed loop slide.
The strap 'slides' when used on the smooth side. Check out 1:03 of this video:

RidevaDemocritusI have the Slide Lite (slightly narrower version of the original Slide) - it's attached to my Fuji xpro2. It does not work in the same way as the Black Rapid - the camera is fixed to the strap & the whole strap simply slides round your body (if worn across your chest) or, alternatively, if the "grippy " side is down , will sit securely on your shoulder. Despite this being a good Drop, I've decided to opt for the new Sling bag via Kickstarter.

David--SYeah that was what I was thinking... I'm definitely sticking to my sunsniper for now. It's pretty versatile, plus it has a shock absorber that gives it a little bounce. I have a D4 with a Sigma 85 1.4 on it now, and that's not a slouchy weight setup. It's pretty solid still, and I'm 100% confident in the strap. Plus, the connection is all metal and uses a 1/4-20 to screw in to the bottom of the camera. As a final beautiful measure, it has a steel cable woven through the strap itself to prevent cut-and-runs (it works unless someone comes at you with bolt cutters!)
