a number of reviews of the Field Pouch (or the Wing Bag combo) mention the weakness of the velcro; that after a few weeks the velcro is hard to attach (and keep attached) - anyone have any updates on this??
Knowing Peak Design and their products, I an sure that they will have attempted to solve any known issues.

David--Sworried about the velcro issue too. supposedly the new lens cases have a new type of velcro. perhaps peak design could answer on this forum.

David--SI have a lot of Peak Design stuff. Even stuff not unboxed yet. I have the Capture 2 and the Everyday Messenger and also the Field Pouch or wing bag as it is known. Honestly, I do use it only with my point and shoots. I have attached my capture to it and works fantastic. And when done, pop it back into the bag.
I have used it a few times since I got it. And each time, the velcro held without issue. Maybe it's a batch issue that some have, but mine is as strong as day one. And I adjust the size A LOT, which is one of the great things about PD's designs. They can accommodate with what you have.
I almost backed the backpack, but looking at my EDM I am content and serves as my EDC for work and then when on vacation, is my carry on on the plane. Then when going out, I can either take my EDM and use my DSLR and different lenses in the bag or simply use this wing bag for my point and shoot and attach the capture to the front.
As for the strap, I had the Sling, the big one and use that because I didn't feel the need to buy another version just for the pouch. Because of the universal nature of the anchor links, it's awesome and so versatile.
Am I a pro photog? Nope, just an everyday joe that takes pics of his kid while out and vacationing.
If you are on the fence and wondering if you need it, well if you own a point and shoot and rather use that than your phone, then yes. It's a well made bag and any issues, the PD crew will work with you to make it right.

M.VeenMy concern is not their bags - but, rather, dropping some camera or lens - and that wouldn't be covered by any Peak Design warranty
