My first impressions: - Beautiful, highly saturated navy blue color. - Lightweight and about as thick as french terry fabric. - It still has a slight itch to it but is softer and more pleasant to wear than Icebreaker, Smartwool and Carhartt's 100% Acrylic hat. - With the beanie on and the neckwarmer pulled up over my nose, this is more comfortable than wearing a balaclava. It's nice to not look like a ninja in the city. - Tag on the beanie is sewn too low such that it shows when cuffing the brim. I'll probably cut it off.
Time will tell: - How well will the neckwarmer spring back into shape after being worn over my nose for extended periods. - How warm it will be when the temperature is below freezing when my breath dampens it. - How much pilling or pulls it may have with normal use.
Next steps: - I will order another beanie and neckwarmer since my son want this set. - I want to order their baselayers. - I'm looking forward to the socks from Kickstarter.
