I've been using this pen for the last week, having purchased it from Goldspot as soon as it became available. While I haven't been able to spend a lot of time with the pen yet, I'm quite pleased with my purchase. It's a beautiful pen that writes just right by me. I should note that the colors in the barrel aren't quite as striking as the photographs suggest. Even still, it's plenty pretty enough for me. I can't imagine anyone will be disappointed with this little jewel. I paid $620 for the pen. It can be had at that price, plus a bottle of the Edelstein ink, from a few websites. If you go the retail route, you might want to call ahead and insure they have the pen in stock with the nib of your choice. That's what I did with Goldspot. Their service is always first rate and if you're like me and don't want to wait for your pen, this might be the way to go. Otherwise, Massdrop's price is better than any I could find in the US, although you might be able to match it through an overseas retailer. And, truth be told, I didn't look aggressively for the best price. Purchasing through Massdrop comes with the usual caveats of delivery time, availability of your choice of nib, etc. But, the price is definitely attractive. If you want to read a good review of the Pelikan M800 Stone Garden, I suggest you head over to thepelikansperch.com. "Joshua" penned a solid, thorough review of the pen, Good luck!
