I think that the benefit to this drop might be that the pen is covered by Chartpak's warranty. Fountain pens can be delicate, and Chartpak provides great warranty service. Overseases purchases, including from Cultpens, are not covered, at least not officially. BTW, this is a fantastic pen. I have several copies of all of the models in this series, and the 600 is my favorite. Not too big for a shirt pocket, but still feels substantial in the hand. If you have large hands you might prefer the M800 .

WindhorserChartpak will not provide any warranty support to Pelikan or Porsche Design pens that are sold by MASSDROP.
Chartpak is the only authorized distributor in North America, and MD does not get their pens from Chartpak.
