Recoil_RobFor @Recoil_Rob and others, I will clarify Pelikan's (not Chartpak's) policy:
Offering that a dealer will provide free nib exchange is a service that is a courtesy that applies only to those who purchased a pen thinking it was the size they wanted, then, after writing with it, realized that the nib size was not as expected / desired.
The service is not offered to enable people to purchase of a pen that is known to have a nib size they know they don't want and have every intention of asking to swap. Chartpak has a few nibs on hand to do this for the intended purpose, but not a giant warehouse of M800 nibs in every size that would support a large group like this all wanting to make nib exchanges.
It's a common misunderstanding, I hope this clears things up and I'm sorry if that makes the drop less attractive. However, I think many people here know how great the Chartpak repair team is, and we don't want to encourage - or even suggest that it's possible - to take advantage of the courtesy they provide.
