I've been sitting on the fence on these for a while now. I'm trying to replace my many year old Razer set, so I want something good for gaming, and playing a lot of CS with friends, I really need good positional awareness. I'm just not sure if these will fit the bill for that.

Nhb93Best gaming headphones I've ever owned are Sennheiser's PC360 which are stereo 3.5mm plug beat out the Razer 5.1-7.1 systems and my Astro A40's for placement, comfort and quality, you have to remember is that Razer is the Beats of the peripheral world, you pay for marketing, style, and status not audio quality, build quality and reliability. When my Sennheisers broke out of warranty after 4 year I needed a back up while they went in for repair, enter this headphone I work a lot so I sometimes have gaming binges on days off for like 16hours. You need a headphone that keeps you cool and comfortable like the pc360 these are open backed you hear the world around you so you have good air flow, big ear cups mean no pressure on your ears and they sound good, but the pc360 do sounds better you also pay 300 for them. I paired them with a mod mic or you can get one of those Vmoda ones and it'll plug into the headphones. And i have to say I was impressed they are pretty accurate and it made me not miss my Sennheisers. After my Sennheisers came back i gave the set up to my brother who loves it. For placement I would say 4 outa 5 but if you want comfort these are amazing for long gaming, a little lacking in bass but i like them.
