I am also looking for a replacement case for a pair of prescription Ray Ban aviators. The hard case that came with them cracked due to low temperatures. Mainly use them for driving and the case froze up when left over night during Canadian winter.

When we set the rivets the ones on the inside get inset into the leather slightly to help prevent that from happening. I have a number of high end Sunglasses in all shapes and sizes and have never had an issue with them nor have I heard it happening from any previous buyer. That being said there are so many styles and shapes that maybe one pair might sit just right for it to happen.
