What was the going price for this drop? anyone?
Any idea why this drop was cancelled at the end?
yorllispain
Not enough buyers.
This is really pissing me off! It feels like half the time us Europeans get shafted by not having the drops available to us. But in this case I can participate, but it doesn't have a 220/240V option... So it's not gonna function without an expensive/heavy duty inverter! You need to start being more considerate of us old world members MD!!!
These units ship to Japan.
Are they 100V? or only 120V limited to the USA?
I have the VSX-LX101, got it open box for like 140$ and i am happy with it. Paired with the black friday KEF Q100's it made for a nice budget system.
Confused. Is the vsx-lx103 $170 off of $499.99? the beginning of the overview it states that it is the base price and as you read through it says -$170.
VGiancola
Sorry about the confusion. Please see the final price at checkout.
Price for the 503 isn't anything special, shop around.
which one is the high end?

VSX-LX503
What model number do you get with the base $499 option? Kind of silly that it's impossible to tell from the website.

That's great. Quick question ... will this ship as the 220v version to Malaysia? We cannot use 120v Receivers. Could you please advise. Thanks.
maestro
The models we are offering here are only the US models. They will be 120V only.
Does anyone have an ISO or can rip one of the 2012 AVnavigator cd-rom that came with the VSX-60? I lost my disk and can't find help.
Anyone know what type of amp this has, Class A/B or Class D? I know that the SC-LX-701 and up carry Class D amps.; The specs say these are Direct Energy amps, but that sounds like marketing speak as the specs at Pioneer show the energy consumption for the VSX series at around two and a half times that of the SC series, which suggests non-Class D in the SCX series.
LCaseyK
Believe the 502 had Class D but the 503 went to A/B.
anyone ever use the headphone port to use an AVR as a headphone amp/dac I need to replace my current AVR as it cant process 4k signals but I am also in the market to power my HD 6XX
is this 110v only or can also support 220v (For Singapore) ?
Thanks.

Wow, THANKS! Glad I read this - was just about to order a large paperweight! Unbelievable, international shipping when it won't work (in most) other places in the world they will ship too.
JaredOfOz
That's MD for you. When you want something shipped internationally, they don't do it. When they do, it's useless anyways.
Does anyone know if the 503 supports EARC?

Based on this statement from their site" all HDMI terminals support 4K (60p/4:4:4/24-bit)*, Wide Color Gamut (BT.2020), and HDCP 2.2, so you will have no problem when upgrading to new devices, and can also enjoy premium content such as 4K videos with digital copy protection. " I would assume that the rears are 2.1 and the front is 2.0 (front is not fully compatible based on their site statement)
Sgt_ShaneV
This applies to HDMI 2.0 as well, so based on this alone I wouldn't assume they've implemented HDMI 2.1.
Would the 303 run Kef R500s?

So would something like a Crown XLi 800 with a Yamaha RX-A1080 do the trick? I've been eyeballing Yamaha for awhile but they never go on sale and I know nothing about Amps. My dad was the sound guy he passed and i was looking to take up the hobby.
Crippled
That should be a good combo, the Yamaha has the necessary pre-amp outputs to add stereo or multi-channel amps. I will say that a lot of pro amps like Crown include a fan instead of heatsinks for cooling. This may or may not be noticeable in your listening environment. I use three different emotiva amps in my home theater/stereo configuration. The A300 is a pretty solid choice from them. I am looking to pickup an on-sale or used Marantz as I still have some players that need a 5.1 channel analog input (something which is quite rare these days)
Compare side-by-side at https://www.pioneerelectronics.com/PUSA/Home/AV-Receivers/Elite+Receivers but you might also want to (less conveniently) compare to the non-Elite models such as the $299 VSX-932. For the record I have an Elite VSX-94TXH (old but fantastic), VSX-932 (new and impressive though I've yet to use the full feature set) and a VSX-521-K (works fine with a painful flaw).
