Why does it cost $3.75 to ship one set, but $7.75 to ship two? You're actually paying $0.25 more to have it shipped together...

Welcome to the post office. The post office sets a rate for a size and weight and then jacks that rate when the size is even marginally a .0001mm larger or a .0001g heavier.
