From someone who just uses the keyboard that IT gives at work. What is this for? There are no letters on the keys. Do you supply your own? (serious, need more info)

OneLoveYou can buy keycaps that have letters but the cool thing about this board is you can program differnt layers and program every key. Meaning you 1 key can do multiple things depending on what layer you have activated. watch he video on the product description page.

OneLoveYou definitely want to be a touch-typist with blank key caps. With a non-standard keyboard, it can be very hard to find key caps with the appropriate legends. For example, the space bar on the "normal" (MIT) Planck is 2 units wide, which is the size shift keys and numpad + and enter usually come in. Then the Planck's shift and enter are 1u wide. Not many key cap manufacturers are able to run custom, quality caps. The ones that do aren't particularly cheap, and would add significant cost to this drop. When you consider that one of the first things keyboard enthusiasts do is swap their caps, it doesn't make much sense to include an expensive key cap set with a niche board like this. Factor in the programmability, and a blank set is the default choice for a group buy on a board like this.
The good news is that it's a small board, and quite popular in our sub-culture, so good key cap sets are easy to get. A lot of the key cap sales here on MD offer ortholinear options. Signature Plastics also sells dye-sub printed ortho sets... they're among the cheapest sets they sell. Or you can get a cheap ABS set off of eBay, have most of your keys carry the correct legend (alphas), and stick with the blanks for the modifiers, or pick a random or somewhat appropriate key from the standard set for each mod.

molechYes, a lot of boards do have multiple layers. Remember this keyboard is very unique because of its grid layout and its size. Making the layout possibilities endless and having no ristrictions because of key size. For me I am still debating if I should buy one but if I do and I don't like it I plan on using it as a macro keyboard. Also for some users this may be a daily driver but for others they might just buy it to add it to their collection.

DvdgbsnOthers also buy it because of its portability. It's the smallest keyboard I own, and I wouldn't go any smaller since you are already making a lot of compromises with this size.
