"We're still waiting on the MIT plates and the PCBs. The new first articles for the PCBs (the things I need to approve) are in the mail now!
I spent some time over the weekend working on a dfu-programmer app for OS X and Windows - the goal with this is to make it easier for users to program their PCBs without having a development environment setup. I have a pre-release version available at the link below if you'd like to check it out!
I talk about this and other web app possibilities on our podcast - check out the episode at the second link!

Expect an update from us by the end of the day Pacific Time on 11/13 or sooner if something comes up.

ArthurMis it just me or did we not ask you to redesign the product. We paid for what was outlined in the drop, now you are a week past shipping date listed: and you are reprogramming the PCBs to make it easier for people? if people find it too hard to program their keyboard you should offer a service to program it for them. let us get what we paid for. I paid for this kit on Aug 14. Its going to be over 4 months for me to get a packet of parts because you added milled cases and updated firmware after the drop closed. This was my first, and last Massdrop. The savings was not worth this wait, in the future I will buy my toys from a store with inventory.

don.foutsHe's not "reprogramming the PCBs to make it easier for people". He made a software tool that makes it easier for them to be programmed, but that has nothing to do with the PCBs themselves. No extra delay was caused by the creation of this tool, since he's still waiting for parts.
My understanding is that at least part of the delay with the PCBs is that the first sample they sent him didn't have the bootloaders flashed, which would have made them impossible to reprogram, which would have been completely unacceptable.

don.foutsI would also like to point out that Ortholinear Keyboards is a one-man business; Jack gets no help doing what he does, which includes assembling each and every keyboard for which assembly was ordered. In addition to this, over 50 percent more people joined the drop than he had anticipated; his high estimate was 500 while the real number of participants was around 750.
None, not even one a single one, of us participants have gotten our Plancks yet, but if you don't think that it's worth waiting a few short weeks longer to get this quality product with excellent customer service, you can always contact Jack to cancel your order and make his life a tiny bit easier in doing so.
don.foutsI don't know if there's a language barrier here or not, but I think I've been pretty clear in the weekly updates - I'm currently waiting for lots of parts to come in/be finished by my suppliers, so I'm spending time catching-up with orders through the store, and working on software tools/firmware for customers to use once they receive their kits/boards.
You mention the additional milled bottoms, but those aren't affecting this drop at all - if you read the upgrade info, you would see that the entire order sans the milled bottom would be shipped separately (and sooner) if you choose to upgrade. Once we got the confirmation dates from my shop (the latest being early December), we shared them - things haven't changed since then.
Instead of hopping on here to complain and spread misinformation, maybe you should contact Massdrop and myself to arrange a refund.
Thanks to SergeantFTC and Eric.T for the quicker responses with accurate info.

jackhumbertWhat exactly are you going to get by early December, the milled bottoms or everything but them?
e_l_tangThe early December dates are for the milled bottoms (red, orange, black, silver), and the last of the MIT plates (some/half will be delivered soon).
