I used the Platinum music nibs. They write like a dream, soft, springy and smooth.
Line variation is not very sharp when you are writing with them but enough to make your penmanship sing :)
In my opinion, this Platinum music nib is not springy. It is rather stiff in my opinion compared to something like an Pelikan M800+ or Visconti Dreamtouch. This baffles me because I usually associate 14k with a little spring except this seems a harder alloy mix.
It is definitely not a crisp italic (sharp corners) and I often found this music not satisfying for lettering. It is smooth and enjoyable for line variation on general cursive writing that I keep it in my rotation.
