Heck, who wants to have a SATA M. SSD in his PC?

fischeleI could see this being useful in a build where there are two M.2 slots but only one is NVMe. There are a few boards like that. In that case though I'd much rather have a 1TB model for faster storage and a smaller NVMe for boot. SO yeah, this drop is pretty boring.

This isn't that great a deal at all... Newegg has it for 15$ less on the 256gb version.

The specifications for random performance should be IOP/S, not MB/S, and appears similar to this for the 256 MB: https://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=234-0053-00001.
The math: 331 MB/S random read. 199 MB/S random write (theoretical maximum random performance).
Still good, but at $76 for the direct purchase price of a faster version (399 MB/S random read, 299 MB/S random write), this drop is not good at all unless you want the slower 128 MB version for roughly the same cost as the faster 256 MB one from NewEgg.

So when are we going to get a drop on the M.2 NVMe PCIe SSD? I might as well get a regular ssd, which I can get at comparable prices.

Yeah I was gonna touch on that. But there technically isn't really an in between. Since It's an SSD Cache + HDD.
