This product charges my phone at about the same speed as the provided lightning cable from Apple, and I haven't noticed any slower speeds. These are a nice, weighty and durable cable that has a very tight and secure fitting USB-A connection and an "easy-to-pull-out" Lightning connection. That was my greatest gripe with the Apple-provided cable. This product as nice textured grips and a concave plug that feels dense.
If you need a new cable for the car, computer or wall plug, this is definitely a great choice.
EDIT (2 weeks after): Charging speeds are maintaining, and has endured a lot of tosses and survived inside a packed backpack. Tested on an iPad Pro, iPhone X and iPhone 8; works great!
