I'm thinking about using this cable to combine the Senns 6xx when they come and my V20. Any thoughts about this? Has anyone tried something something like this and how do the Senns sound, real world, with bluetooth?

yamanjoefrom the reviews I've seen (granted these were for IEMs), the answer is "the same as it would normally sound, but worse"

yamanjoeNot sure these would be good match. Power output can’t be very good and the HD6XX are not very efficient.
look at the Centrance bluedac.
I just got mine. It’ll power the HD6XX to a reasonable volume but I find full volume on high gain tolerable ( not tolerable with E-mu Teaks)

TiffanyPoodleslideThere is a picture of this product with Senns 6XX, and they state it CAN power them, so why not?

ILoveStuffMY opinion ; As somebody who has been into the Senns for years and years... to sound their best, adequate source-->cans power is key. My feeling is that the power supply won't really be adequate. Not saying it won't work, I just don't think that you will get that perfect audiophile quality for your Senns. I feel this way about bluetoothing full-sized cans in general. Blue tooth is glitchy at times and I don't think the tech on a device like this is quite there yet. Some time down the road, we'll see it. If I were buying this item for my Senns, I'd certainly go with the best quality offered, in an effort to get the best sound available from this device. Blue Toothing eliminates the option for using a headphone amp, which I believe to be necessary for making the Senns sing at teir best.
again...like much in the audio appreciation convo, it's as much opinion as anything else. The Poetic cable is Da Bom, btw. Decent enough price point you could give it a try, see for yourself what you think. It's really about amping, for me.

TiffanyPoodleslideThe rep from the manufacturer says this can power the HD800 at 70-80% volume. Blue Toothing Eliminates the option for amping? The description states there's a "balanced output configuration" and from their website the "Package Includes" section states "Amplifier Band". I AM in on this drop with an mmcx option for my IEM, but you're stating things that just aren't true. Maybe you should try it too?

ILoveStuff"Amplifier band" is not the same thing as , say, a JDS Labs or iBasso dedicated headphone amplifier, which must be plugged directly into the headphones and directly plugged into the source. Yes, it's amplification. But not in the same league as dedicated amplification, to which I am referring. 70 to 80%, in my book, isn't optimal. If that wrks for you, cool, it's all personal preferences. My pref happens to be for the quality sound improvement a dedicated amp provides.
If you see a connection on this device that allows for that,(hooking up a dedicated headphone amp), please link me to it, as I am clearly not seeing where that can be done. I men. The whole POINT of this device is that you aren't plugged into anything. I'm not speaking untruth here. I think I am talking about something that is different than what you are talking. I must not have used enough words to convey my meaning adequately.
I am on this drop too, I am just sticking to IEMs set up.
