ReebadeebCertainly some of the most gullible. Massdrop seems be hypnotizing people in nearly all "communities" to spend wildly on useless, over-priced crap (I've even been tempted myself!) I recently applied several layers of black tape over the lenses of my reading glasses--it seems to be helping!

ReebadeebI used to think cables really didn't matter till I heard the difference for myself. Now don't get me wrong- you won't see me buying 3 or $400 cables ever but if I had the money to buy IEMs or cans above $1k and the cables were crap, then I'd probably look aftermarket.

ReebadeebI’m sure everyone is embarrassed now that some guy named Reebaddeeb called them out on the massdrop message board. Lol.

LarryklunkI'd be embarrassed about buying snake oil, this isn't the 19th century anymore. You can do objective research on stuff before wasting your money on it.

ReebadeebWhat if you have heaps of disposable income and want to pimp out your high end iems? It's the same with almost any high end good, most watches tell the time pretty accurately yet they can be had from $10-$100,000. All things considered I'd rather buy an ALO item cable if I had to.

MeaslyblueIf I had piles of cash and cans (or earplugs) that require the Ultimate Awesome Cables of Power and Clarity +1, I wouldn't be buying it here. I'd be having my *minions* schlep the materials to my compound and have them assemble the cables for me.

ReebadeebSo do you buy generic equivalents to everything?

GlenRLike most of us, looking for a *good deal* on stuff not readily available elsewhere--as opposed to be skinned alive on silly nonsense stuff (like $120 cables, for instance).

LarryklunkPlease, point us all to the generic *equivalent* of this, or any, $120 cable!

RayFNo one forces you to buy things on here. If you don't like the product just keep moving along. No need to shit on the product because you don't agree with it.
This is a "good deal." It's cheaper here than if you buy directly from the company.

GlenRFollowing the same logic, the same can be said for not shitting on the opinions of others because you disagree.
Just sayin'.

Faynearen't you nice to defend them. No reason to click on the product if you are just going to shit on it because you no nothing about it. Happens all the time when products that are a little more out there end up on Massdrop.

RayFI haven’t joined this drop, but there are reasons I‘d spend a little more for iem cables— build quality (durability, tangle free, etc.) and, to a lesser degree, aesthetics . It would be the same reason I may pay for a brand of clothing, a watch or an automobile. I certainly wouldn’t troll the massdrop message board calling people stupid for valuing something for those reasons.

LarryklunkLook at those ppl who mock at ppl who actually value the change of cables can bring.
They assume we are using some entry level iem or cans. They are not open to possibility that cable make changes to sound. In fact, cable plays a big part to keep every piece of equipment in harmony. Not only it applies to head-fi, but hi-fi as well. Timbre is something technology can't really improve significantly all these years.
If they question the use of cables, I really want them to go all over the tube amps and question the tubes distortions (but they are warm and musical). Placebo-wise, if it makes you feel better on what you listen, then it worths it.
Generally, if you are not even using a $350+ iem, then may be you should invest more on your iem before considering cables. Cable makes good equipment shine.

GlenRActually everyone here has said it better than you have or apparently are able. You come off a tad insecure; shows a general lack of confidence and leads others to doubt you sincerity.

CrackieActually, I'm in the process of creating a new line of custom cables aimed specifically at users of ultra high-end IEMs and Headphones. My custom cables may be a little thicker (and heavier) than others on the market, and of course, they will cost a little more, but I believe true audiophiles (like yourself) will immediately hear, and appreciate the difference! I've just received my first shipment of braided conductor and hope to have the first prototypes out soon!

ReebadeebSo do this objective research and present your findings. Otherwise, stop trolling something you haven't even bothered doing any experimentation with.

CrackieI don't support this message. While I know from experience cables can make sonic differences, they shouldn't be the harmonising element in anything. And timbre continues to be reproduced by great pieces of equipment all these years, fancy cables or no.
