I'm only here to give some info. I don't have this pen, but I did a Kickstarer project on Magnets, each of my magnets are N42, the magnets here are only N32 magnets, so are weaker, but also there are alot more of them...
I did alot of testing and there are a few things to note here.
Just take this as info on magnets - not the pen
The pen itself is "safe" but when taken apart you need to watch out for kids, etc - which is why Canada made them illegal, because of their size. Kids could swallow them, then wait a few hours and swallow another one - NOW you have a problem, as they will stick together though the intestines.
The magnets in the pen WILL freeze some of your electronic devices, I tested this with my Samsung Galaxy Tab 4, no damage was done, but it was tricky to get it to reboot. I laid it over a row of magnets on accident.
The magnets won't erase "real" credit cards, but will erase hotel cards and possibly some gift cards. If the card is "re-writable" then it will erase it.
This is for Massdrop - Shipping magnets is not easy, and they need to be packaged very well (read - FAT) This is a USPS law, not something to play with... I wrap my magnets in bubble wrap twice, and then mail in a bubble mailer - so there are 3 wraps of bubble wrap - Get a compass (you know, navigation) and move it around your package and watch to see if it deflects a compass, if it does - more bubble wrap. Just make sure you get packaging right please, I like you guys :)
I'm sure the pen is fun guys, so buy it and let me know - I may pick one up as I love magnets :)
