Super cool caps, but I still can't see me paying more than $5-$7 for one. Slap on shipping costs and this is still ridiculous to me.

psicloneThen these aren't your type of caps, $5-7 gets you random off-colored Esc caps with a texture, or with a very gamer-inspired font. Artisans like these requires a bit more on the creators side. I doubt the creator of these caps values their time as low as $5-7 for hours of work. If you don't value your own time, that's fine, but others value theirs.

zhhkI get it. No offense to the artist. I love the caps, but prices on these things is too high. I, too, value my time and money.

psiclonehonestly I understand your point of view.. but also keep in mind the materials that go into these caps cost far more then 5-10cents a typical cap cost to make. Honestly wouldn't be shocked if the cap cost 20bucks to make then tag on labor and design. Thus the cost you see.
Its like saying a Ferrari should cost the same as a Honda. Removing labor cost and the Ferrari still cost more to produce just from Materials then the most expensive Honda.
Though once more I totally understand that artisan's are not for everyone.

psicloneYeah, there's no issue with not being able to justify the cost for yourself. A lot of the high cost comes from the fact that it's handmade and a lot of trial and error happens just to get one good cap.

psicloneIt's artwork. Artwork isn't cheap. If you won't pay more than $7 for it then how about you try making one and see how much it costs then.

SterlingBourneOr...I can just spend $13 - $30 and get a whole set of keycaps. That's sounds like a smarter plan.

psicloneKind of like saying you're better off buying headphones to use with your TV instead of a pair of speakers, it's not what you set out to buy, but it's cheaper and serves the same purpose, so that was the smarter plan.
See what I mean?

psicloneHey, nobody wins here. I do hope you are able to get one of these - or something like it - one day. If you use your keyboard daily, you will admire it every day. In the long run you more than get your moneys' worth. Peace.
