I wish MD would offer the Source Orb. At least I know they use titanium coils.
Saving a few bucks and gambling on your health is never a winning proposition. These re-branded made in china pens from LLCs (LIMITED LIABILITY companies) give me pause.
I realize quality control and skilled labor costs more, but at least there's accountability and oversight.
My Crafty was built by Storz & Bickel themselves in Tuttlingen, Germany to top medical standards. Sure it costs over 10x as much as this, but I bet it will last more than 10x as long.

I would like a high quality concentrate pen though, and from what I've read & seen the Source Orb is the best commercially available pen. Although that could very well be made in China as well for all I know. Does anyone know where the Source Orb is made?

TommyDreamerSaw the Crafty first hand aside from the battery life, I really dig that portable and from a trusted manufacturer. Shouts to vaporsvaporizer from fc who let me see it @ the Amsterdam cup

TommyDreamerHow did you arrive at that conclusion? I looked it up on fuckcombustion, its in the Ecig based portables section and has less than 2 pgs discussion. A fairly new product, might work as good as any other e cig based concentrate vape. Wonder what grade Ti they're using on the 8 different atomizer designs... looks lile they're throwing shit at the wall and seeing what sticks. They are still using generic ego batteries and such. w9tech.com grade 2 titanium in their vapes.. The Persei + SR-74 is a concentrate vape more in line with your Craftys quality level.

SamuraiSamA combination of /r/vaporents youtube fcombustion and a few other related forums. Nobody is really doing teardowns and part analysis of these pens as far as I know, so all I can go on is what the manufacturers say and what experiences people who bought them have had.
If you look on their site it says they're using Grade 2 Titanium.
I'll have to look into UP Tech that you mentioned, I haven't seen any reviews on that yet.
It seems like these pens are all designed to be somewhat disposable, or the cartridges are at least. That may be part of the problem. It's hard to have a high end, high quality brand that manufactures disposable products. Most people who are buying disposable are price conscious, and the only way to lower price and maintain high quality is with economies of scale so a company can remain viable with smaller margins per sale.
Maybe until there is an obviously quality product I'll just stick w/ my crafty. It does oils and wax fine too, and I don't have to worry about what-ifs regarding how it was made & what it's releasing into my lungs.

TommyDreamerMost of these products with integrated batteries are indeed fairly disposable and cheap. UP Tech's Omicron and Persei are both higher end, removable battery vaporizers, and particularly the Hercules SR-74 cartridge is a lifetime servicable, cleanable, rebuildable unit with no wire heater (ceramic heating rod) and grade 2 titanium wicks. I would say it meets all criteria of a high end product for me. If you look up the Persei thread on fuckcombustion.com you'll find a lot of feedback. The thread is over a thousand pages by this point, so reading the first page and then skipping to the last few pages will save you some time.

TommyDreamerI'm with SamuraiSam on this too! UP Tech is probably the best company as far as portable concentrate pens are concerned, thats all I buy anymore. kits like these are all made by the same manufacturers in china and are dirt cheap if you order about 100 units the price per kit is about $8 shipped, and they all suck and don't work/break extremely easily or impart a very bad taste because they still use a silica or cotton wick that burns with concentrate use because concentrates do not wick like e-liquid does. honestly if you are just looking for an absolutely simple/beginner/"i don't know what I'm doing" set up like this at least use Gentleman's Brand (which is an amazing brand) because they use certified Grade 2 titanium coils and no wicks in all of their concentrate carts so all you taste is the concentrate and none of that nasty burnt taste. Really if you have the budget get the SR-71 from up tech its basically a portable e-nail with how powerful it is and how big of rips you can get out of it.
