Great news group! The vendor has let us know that the group's order was picked up and is on its way to our warehouse now. Based on the tracking provided these are scheduled to come in 11/6. Our warehouse team has been forwarded tracking info and will be standing by, ready to get these packed up and turned around as soon as they come in.
Sometimes shipments get delayed en route, not to worry as we will keep the group posted throughout the process and notify you all if anything causes delay.

Thanks again for joining this drop! With your help we were able to make it successful for the community. We've just submitted the group's order with the vendor for the Precision Metal Polyhedral Dice Set and they are working hard to prepare it for shipment.
As soon as the group's order is ready at the vendor's location, they will send the bulk shipment to our warehouse in New Jersey where our warehouse team will break it up into individual orders and ship them directly to you! The current estimated ship date from our warehouse is 11/6.
Rest assured that we we will provide you all with updated information regarding the status of your order throughout the process. You can expect an update from us by the end of the day Pacific Time on 11/2.

On the floating D6s, do the numbers move laterally inside the die?

Well, the price is for the machining. As far as I know, there are no machined rpg dice sets around and available other than these.

TheAsteritehonestly, just in terms of fairness i wouldn't use these dice, i would rather have a flat surface with a sharpie on number just so there is the most equal chance a number would land, opposed to once side having less material making it lighter so a 1 is a number that statistically comes up less. the other reason is dice like that can be very cheap, i think something like 10-20$ for a few hundred.
as for machined... i'm not sure, i know there are metal dice, just googled it, fully machined dice are all ridiculously expensive it seams.
wait, just looked at it some more, apparently the stone dice i like are also cnc machined, amethyst, jade, sandstone... these ones top out at around 70$ most being around 40...
now i'm interested to see what the cheapest machined die set is.

I have to agree with others. The dice look nice but the price seems overly high. You can get some Crystal Caste semi-precious gemstone dice cheaper than $80 (and most of them are cheaper than the MSRP of $130). I'm pretty sure even Q-Workshop has cheaper metal dice.

As much as I like red dice, and as much as these seems to be the end game, the price is just... no.

For $80, I'd expect to get something that didn't have such an ugly font... come on.

redsevnWell, given that they're CNC milled and not cast or 3D printed, there's not a lot you can do about that without vastly increasing the time of manufacture. It seems like this provider is dependable, but a small shop so they probably only have one or two machines to crank out dice on. The font is probably just the manufacturer using a ball end mill to get a nicely rounded bottom.
I'm interested to know how the odder polyhedrons are made and have their faces aligned. My initial guess is that they're cast (hence the soft edges) and the manufacturer has some custom clamp forms to make up for the non-flat sides.
