I received my Plank order the other day and was pleased except for the big Massdrop advertisement engraved on the bottom of the aluminum cases. I've never received a keyboard product from Massdrop where they've done this. I'd like to know if that's going to be done on this new Preonic and on the new low profile Plank. It's REALLY obnoxious and unexpected. I'd also like Massdrop to clearly advertise if they're going to stamp their name into visible keyboard parts in the future. That way we know what we're getting and can buy or not buy accordingly. All of that aside, the quality seems to be excellent. I am interested in this Preonic and the new low profile Plank but need to get this question answered before I decide.

Ty.GriffinIn the interest of fairness I just went back the Plank sale to confirm my belief that they didn't advertise that the cases would carry the Massdrop advert on the back. While I don't think it was stated, I did find one of the case pictures with the logo on it (attached). I'm still asking Massdrop to make this really clear in the product description. My first choice would be to purchase keyboard parts without any logos on them. And I do apologize for not seeing the picture before posting above.

Ty.GriffinI agree, the plain case bottom in the photos posted so far looks really nice, would be good if someone from olkb or massdrop could confirm whether there will be logos on the bottom

Ty.GriffinI agree when I saw that I was put off. I have a case from three last drop a year ago. I still need a to plate for it.

jackhumbertThanks for replying, @jackhumbert. It would be nice if there were an option at checkout for a logo-less product. You could include a sticker or something similar that people could put on their keyboard or laptop if they chose. Your keyboards are amazing and part of that for some of us is that if we're going through the trouble to put a kit together, we really want the end product to be clean and clear of these types of markings. It feels like advertising and really interferes with the aesthetics. Just my 2 cents.

Ty.GriffinI always have parts on my store that have different markings, but the Massdrop kit deserves to have Massdrop's branding (or whatever they choose) on it - they're producing the parts, and have put a lot of work into making them as good as they are/will be - a lot better than I can get with parts sourced locally.

jackhumbertI dunno man, the whole thing with your keyboards (for me at least) is how elegant and minimal they are. I don't think anyone deserves to sully that with branding, and I don't think your clients deserve branding on such an aesthetic piece of equipment.. Massdrop deserves to get paid for their work, and they do. Just my two cents. Love your work man.
