jackhumbertAny chance this drop is extended through when planck ships? I was going to bar my decision on buying this based upon how well I liked planck, but since that is 2+ months late I don't know yet how I like the OL layout.

jackhumbertCan you get Massdrop to pin your message to the top of the discussion board, and you can just update it periodically? I find that very handy in the Godspeed drop.
EDIT: Now it is pinned to the top. Not sure if that just happened, or if it's been like that but didn't appear at the top for me an hour ago for some reason... Either way, thanks!

jackhumbertThe 1U convex in the Canvas set image are not mislabeled, they really are convex intended for the thumb (in place of the 2U bar), correct? I know some believe it is an error, that they are actually blank deep dish homing keys. While I think those people are mistaken, the keycaps sure don't look convex in the image: http://i.imgur.com/3D7LAQP.jpg

jackhumbert@jackhumbert in the main pictures of the drop, there is one picture where the LED slots as seen from the top of the switch appear to be on the upper side, but on the PCB they are on the lower side as on the previous Preonic (or at least mine).
Is the picture of an old PCB and the new one has had the LEDs moved up? Or is the picture of the semi assembled preonic built with the buttons upside down and usb connector towards the user?
I ask because I'd personally prefer the LEDs on the upper side for compatibility with vortex shinethrough caps.

jackhumbert@all - The Canvas XDA keyset kit comes with the pictured keycaps and that only. I will ask MD to include F and J homing keys to the kit as a bonus but this isn't guaranteed to happen. No other inclusions and changes will take place. There's a huge logistics scheme behind these drops, if things get too complex it gets harder to fulfill - delays, errors, etc. The keycaps marked as convex are convex, not concave, that said they aren't deep dish. Thank you all for the support and preference for these keycaps, I hope you enjoy them with your Preonic keyboard!

Nisse"North facing" LEDs can cause interferance issues with other keycap profiles. "South facing" are generally preferred for compatibility with more keycap types.

IcteSomeone else asked about this several weeks ago. Jack replied that, while it is not yet designed, there will be a logo on the back side similar to what is on the back of the case for the latest Planck drop. Here is a link to Jack's comment:

How long will the drop go on? Four weeks! Until 2017-09-25
What USB port does the PCB have? USB Mini
What case colors will be available? Orange, Navy, Silver, and Gunmetal (see the pictures on the drop page)
What are the changes to the PCB from ones on the store? The USB port tab has been re-enforced, the MX nib holes are slightly larger (nicer with Zealios), and the mounting holes (previously unused) have been increased to 2.85mm
How will things assemble? Plastic stand-offs are snapped-into the PCB, and then counter-sunk screws come in from the bottom to screw through the stand-offs. There will be a couple of extra ones to attach that won't screw through the bottom (for extra support)
What layouts are will work with this? MIT (1x 2u key in the center bottom row) and Grid (2x 1u keys in the center bottom row)!
What plates will be offered? MX, Matias, or none (this will be added mid-day after the drop starts) - all support MIT and Grid layouts
What about the FCC/CE stuff? This will be FCC Part 15 compliant (and the appropriate CE compliance), and testing has been accounted for in the timeline
Can I get the kit without switches? Yes, this will be fixed shortly! e: fixed!
