So I'm pretty new to keyboards and haven't had a chance to use a huge variety of switches. I like clicky options, but from using blue clones on my current board, I can't say I am in love with them specifically. What other option might be a good choice? I was thinking the white box switches, as I like the box switch concept, but I'm just not 100% sure what to commit to. Any advice is appreciated!

PufnstufPeople swear by the box navys. It's definitely going to be the switch on my next build.

PufnstufBox whites are equivalent to mx blues but in a box style. They feel similar to me because it requires similar amount of force to actuate it. Box Pale blue is the heavier version of box whites. Box jades have box whites stem but with a thicker click bar. Jades are a lot louder than box whites and mx blues. Really fun to type on. Boxy navys are the heavier version of box jades, which also has a thicker click bar, same structure as box pale blue. IMO, they are a lil too stiff for typing but some ppl like it. Would recommend box jades if u like mxblues but want sth new. It is def loud and fun to type on.

PufnstufThe blues are what are known as click jacket clickies. That is to say the click mechanism for the switch works off a seperate piece of plastic that is clipped onto the main stem, and as you click down it slides in a way that creates a click noise as it moves back. In terms of click jacket clickies, your options are really just the standard offerings of blues and the heavier greens from companies like Cherry, Gateron or Outemu. Kailh has a couple of other click jacket clickies in the forms of the Speed Gold and the Pro Light Green. I think the Speed Golds are pretty cool. If you can find them there is also a vintage clicky clone switch referred to as an Aristotle that people take the stems from and put into a different housing like a Cherry, Gateron, Zealio or Aliaz housing. They can be pricey, but many people regard that as the ultimate click jacket setup, with a better noise and much more tactility.
However a lot of people now are moving over to clickBAR clickies. These work in a different way, in which there is a thin metal bar that the stem pushes down on, and the click is made from the bar snapping back against the plastic housing. The feeling these give are different when typing, and the sound is also different. As these don't have loose parts, for a start they have no rattling sound. It's just a straight click noise (sort of like a mouse click sound). They also offer a really nice sharp tactile bump. They come in two flavours, which are the normal clickbar, or the thick clickbar. Normal ones are found on the Box Whites and the heavier Box Pale Blues. Thick clickbars are found on the Box Jade and the heavier Box Navy. There are also a couple of non-box versions of clickbar for those that might want to try lubing their clickbar switches, which are the Kailh Speed Bronze / Pink (same switch just different colour stems), and the heavier Speed Heavy Pale Blue, and also the Speed Navy, which might I add is even heavier feeling than the Box Navy, although a bit scratchy even with lube from my findings. Very interesting switch nonetheless. I actually really like the feeling of a lubed Speed Bronze. The reason you can't lube the box switches is they are designed to reject liquid as they are designed to be waterproof, and it means it will push the lube out of the hole in the bottom of the switch and will make a mess.
KeyblerI decided to go with box navys! Thanks for the advice.
