The longer your food is exposed to air, the faster it loses its flavor. And while glass containers with airtight lids are a common solution, they end up trapping stale air inside Read More
The specs here say the extra large is 84.5oz, but mine just arrived, and it is clearly marked: 75oz. A little false advertising. I mean, is there an 84.5oz that I should have gotten? Where did that measurement even come from. Kinda' shady. 🤔
I am very very frustrated with this buy. I purchased a small based on the dimensions given in the listing through Drop. I just received today and what I received is tiny. It does not match the dimensions listed and is NOT what I thought I was purchasing (based on the info provided by Drop). The small is NOT 8” tall as described. It’s only 4” tall. So now I’m left with a canister that I paid $13 for that is too small for me to use. Looking back at the dimensions now I can see they are all mixed up. According to the chart above, the Medium is smaller than the small. So annoyed.
Okay, all you struggling mathematicians trying to determine what size container works for "x" number of kilograms or pounds, here's the deal:
Imagine you're a 2.2lb bag of LavAzza Super Crema beans (my brand) and you wanted to know what size you'd need to contain yourself--you'd quickly Google "Pounds to Ounces" and arrive at a conversion page where you'd enter "2.2 lbs" and quickly discover 2.2 lbs equates to 35.2 ounces. Then you'd check MD's Spec section and discover the proper size would be "Large (46 oz): 3.6 x 10 in (9.1 x 25.4 cm)"--because medium is too small and extra-large is too big.

You're more than welcome to repeat the exercise using volume.
Unfortunately, I can accompany you only so far on this journey, little Grasshopper--the rest is up to you.
I roughly compared the dimensions to that of a full 2.5 lb bag of my favorite Colombian Arabica, and realized I needed the extra large, as I always buy a new bag before the old beans are gone. I figure a little too much volume is better than not enough.
I purchased the large for $19.99 in the first round of this drop, and it appears as though they're not really trying to offer a good deal here anymore with the +6 charge... that's $25 for the large (Amazon has it for $1-2 more and cheaper ones appear on eBay intermittently)
