I have never heard of this brand of thread. Is this a great thread? Do you use it for piecing quilt tops? How about using it for quilting the tops?

brenda52411Personally I like this better than Aurifil. It is fantastic for piecing and I have also used for quilting. It’s 3 ply so it’s stronger but doesn’t have the bulk. Makes less lent than Aurifil in my opinion. I wish they had more colors! This is all I use for piecing!

Kellie10Hi Kellie10! I can reach out to the vendor about doing different colors. Back in 2016 we ran a drop with a very bright rainbow color offering but it wasn't successful so we never ran it again. Are these the colors you're looking for or more of a pastel range?

brenda52411Prescencia 60 wt is a fantastic piecing thread and works especially well for foundation piecing when you want accurate, straight, and fine seam lines. I use the 50 wt for quilting. Colonial Needle is now the U.S. supplier but I purchase it from redrockthreads.com/presencia-thread/. Colonial has dropped many of the colors since purchasing distribution rights.

RRT has sampler packs in both weights on sale now. A larger selection of colors are available in the 50 wt. My machines stay so much cleaner than with other 100% cotton threads. You will like it. I learned about this thread when I took a class with Harriet Hargrave-it is her choice of all threads.
