It looks there may be rings on opposite side of the bag for a shoulder strap (the key is hanging from one of the rings, I believe) - does anyone know if this is the case?

SilverFoxESQYou could potentially attach a shoulder strap to this bag, but it does not come with a shoulder strap attachment -- the rings you see are key rings for you to attach keys for easy access if needed.
