I had looked into purchasing this stove previously but declined to buy it. The reason I did not purchase this Primus Stove is the cost of the conversion kit and availability of the conversion kit. Primus states that "If you prefer to carry liquid fuel instead of cannisters, opt for the Gravity multi-fuel kit, which can burn liquid, naphtha, lead-free petrol, and kerosene". This kit is not available for sale in the USA and if you look to purchased from the EU the cost of the conversion kit, along with shipping, is more than the cost of a quality Multi-Fuel stove. I opted for the MSR Whisperlite Universal which can burn all fuels at a much lower cost of the Primus Gravity with the conversion kit.

Still doesnt make all too much sense because the liquid fuel is in a presurized bottle by the looks of that pump

tyler44On the contrary, that’s how liquid fuel stoves work. The fuel is vaporized in the preheat before being injected into the burner. Same system has been used in everything from Coleman camp stoves to ultralight backpacking stoves and for a very long time. Even the venerable soda can alcohol stove works by vaporizing the liquid fuel. The pump you see is to create enough pressure to transfer the fuel.
