I see that 68 users have requested this product. I wonder how many will sell them on e-bay and forums because the spoon is just a little larger than a teaspoon ... You have been warned !

I have this set and I hate it. Your weights are spot on, no need to blame the scales, it's the producer the blame. The spoon is too small and elongated (strange shape) but heavy because of thick sheet. I consider them a rip-off, Primus lied about the weight like many other products in their line. They don't even have a real picture on their own web site, in the fake picture the spoon is much wider: http://www.primus.eu/cutlery-kit-titanium

MiCro17Maybe that was just an older version? I have owned the same kit in Aluminium for quite a few years and the spoon is plenty large.

teschiI made the same type of mistake. I had the plastic made cutlery set from Primus, the spoon was wide and big - perfect for quick eating the hot soup on the trail :) Because of the fake pics on the Primus (and every other seller) site, which show the metal spoon exactly like the plastic one I bought this set. Much disappointment followed ...

I have a set of these. They look great, have nice balance, the business ends are highly polished and the handles allow a secure grip (not only because of the finish, the slots add to the grip). They're thick, strong, tough, feel good in the hand and are a pleasure to eat with. I'm pleased with my purchase.
Just out of curiosity though, can those owning scales verify weights when you receive them?
Here's mine: Spoon: 22g Fork: 16g Knife: 16g Cord: 0g (< 0.5g ?) Complete set with cord: (55-56)g (sometimes scale reads 55g, sometimes 56g) Complete set without cord: 55g
On the back of the card mine came affixed to, the claimed weight is (as stated in this drop) 44g for the set. I realize vendors sometimes understate weights but to me 25% deviance seems excessive.
I considered the possibility that my scales are off but reweighing a few items I'd weighed years ago seem to still match what they weighed before (using a different scale). Additionally, my new mug from https://www.outlandusa.com/p/snow-peak-titanium-stacking-double-wall-cup-300 having a claimed weight of 76g weighs exactly 76g on my scale.
Like I say, I don't regret the purchase. I like the product, it's nice quality, it's the marketing I'm not so sure of. Maybe my particular set is just an outlier? Or are they all that understated?

Thanks for verifying.
Yeah, I prefer a wider spoon too (so I can shovel it in). I wish it was as wide as my MSR Titan and at least as deep as my Snow Peak.
To me the shape seems to be more like a regular teaspoon I'd find in my kitchen.
Personally, the weight doesn't bother me as much as the fact that they lied about it.
I still like the feel but if I were able to walk off into the woods today, I'd likely take my Titan, which I started off with, many spoons ago, many wasted dollars ago. :-)

I've just double checked. The shape on the website looks exactly like my older kit and considering it says "Product unavailable" on that page, I'm pretty sure it's an older version. That being said I recently bought the Esbit TC3-TI kit, because my primus version was aluminium and I can recommend it.

Can I trust myself not to lose a set like with my last purchase of the spork combo?
This looks sexy AF.
