Turns out my first massdrop might also be my last. Just received this about my first massdrop order after waiting almost a month:
"Drop status update.
We have been in close contact with the vendor and have updated news to share with the group.
An unfortunate error in our vendors system caused the majority of allocated units of the Pro HT RGB LED Bluetooth Smart Bulb to be shipped and sold to another party. Members who are yet to receive an email with tracking are the ones affected by this issue.
As soon as we received the news we reached out to our other contacts in an effort to source the product from the same vendor. Unfortunately, due to widespread unavailability nobody was able to fill an order of this size on short notice.
Due to this we will be issuing all group members full refunds for their orders. Refunds will be applied to your payment method within 1-3 business days.
We apologize for any inconvenience this has caused and and have forwarded feedback to our vendor." ------------------
An unfortunate error indeed. I specifically ordered this item because it was cheap way for me to try out massdrop and see how it works. I'm glad I didn't order a more expensive item.
I hope massdrop will be more careful and proactive when choosing their vendor relationships in the future. As for me, I'd rather pay extra somewhere else knowing my ordered product actually exists and will be processed expediently by the vendor.

Individual packages have started to ship! The vendor confirmed earlier that majority of the group's order has been sent out with the rest scheduled for pickup shortly. Once your package is scanned into the courier's system an email will be sent with shipping confirmation and tracking info.

Just about there! We've been in touch with the vendor regarding the group's order and they've let us know that they are still working to gather and pack the group's order for shipment to our warehouse in New Jersey. We will continue to check in with them throughout the fulfillment process and update the group again as soon as everything is en route to us!

Never this long in my experience. Looks like it's on the vendors end to me though :\
Awaiting confirmation! We are still in contact with the vendor and just awaiting updated shipment estimates from them. We have a call scheduled first thing tomorrow morning and should get a bit more visibility in regards to when we can expect these in our warehouse.

Can it be controlled through the Philips Hue infrastructure?
How many bulbs can be controlled at once? Do the group or can they be controlled individually?
Is it this? amazon.com/Bluetooth-88170A-Colorfullight-Controlled-ProHT/dp/B01G5KN3B6 According to the 1 review there, the app is hard to find on android and is in chinese.
Can you turn the lights off and on from the app? Individually or as a group? What's the bluetooth range? Could I turn my lights on while out of town from the app?
Sounds pretty neat, and I can certainly see some extra functionality for it, but I don't want to just have different colors available. Thanks.
So how many bulbs come with this ?
Anyone own these already that can give a quick run down of app layout, color correctness, and just an opinion? 10 bucks is a steal for an rgb lightbulb but often you get what you pay for.

500 lumens. you aren't going to be replacing your bright white/soft white 60w [usa] bulbs with this [that you prob. have all over your home]. it's just not bright enough to keep up

Would you say its bright enough to light a setup in a pretty dark room? and how much difference does 100 lumens make, is it really noticeable?
does this come with only 1 lightbulb?
