Mechanical Keyboard Sound Isn't That Simple
Figure 1: I couldn't think of a more literal way to represent this article if I tried... Looking back just a few years ago, there’s no doubt that the huge influx of people that joined the hobby at the peak of the COVID pandemic were drawn to keyboards by way of YouTube, TikTok, and other audio-visual content platforms. Even as the output from these content creators has waned in recent months, their collective impact and legacy on the keyboard hobby is rather firmly etched in the history books. As a result of all of their sound tests, build logs, and opinion videos, the message is clear to any new person joining the hobby: mechanical keyboards are all about the sound. If i get alphas, noire, numpad, UK, and minibars I still need one more R3 1.5u key (noire has 4) to entirely cover the bottom row. Is there any other option that fully covers this board or do I have to get the missing key from elsewhere?
If turquoise Modifiers work for you, then @MiTo's Hobbyist solution is best. But if you're after black Modifiers, here are some other ideas: * Use one of Noire's R3 1.25u keycaps in place of the fifth 1.5u (also with 0.125u gaps). * Get the fifth 1.5u in black from Blanks. * If some turquoise is OK, the Mac kit has four R3 1.5u keycaps - might compliment the turquoise ISO Enter.
Of course 100% correct legends aren't possible, but Norde has three more than UK: 6, 8, and 9.
Hope you find something that works for you!
I also use Microsoft layout editor so I don't have to mess with non matching legends.
