Support for Alternative Layouts
This is a summary of how alternative layouts have been supported by kits such as Colevrak and Homing. It is not a discussion of alt layout performance and development, but if that interests you I highly recommend starting with Pascal Getreuer’s A guide to alt keyboard layouts (why, how, which one?). It’s a concise and comprehensive overview with links to some great sites that go deeper. He also has a separate Links about keyboards page. They never make 1.25x Fn or Cmmd (⌘) keys. In this particular set there are not even good alternatives. There is only one "Meta" so I can't use that. There is only one "Hyper", so can't use that for command either. The only arrangement would be to buy Base+TSAFox+Novelty and use the 1.25 row 3 graph keys for Command. Then it becomes a very expensive buy to a sub-optimal result.
Does anyone else feel the same? How to we go about petitioning them so they improve their DoubleShot keycaps extras sets?
Personally, I'm in for the base set, novelties, and forums kit.
People always regret not joining PuLSE, I try to do everything I can to prevent that but it always happens. Well, better luck on the next drop I guess!
Let me know if I can help you further.
Your Instagram page said that Pulse would be available for purchase from SP, whereas the PMK Status page states that there won't be any keyshop sales for this set. Who's right? I only realize now I should have added that Zambloos kit to my order.
