I've been wearing this style of Puma sock for many years now. The fabric is nice a thin, so they're nice to wear in the summer and don't make any tight shoes any tighter. While the fabric is thin, they are quite robust. I have a few pairs that are 5-6 years old. Elastic is still good, no holes. For me they mainly die because the fabric at the heel separates from the elastic in the fabric.
I have also found them to be vastly superior to any other ankle sock because of the additional elastic around the arch of the foot. It helps with two things:
1. The socks don't bunch up. 2. The socks don't come off as easily when you take off your shoe.
The only downside here is the price. They are more expensive and you get two pairs at a time, but as I mentioned all of mine have lasted me for a long time.
I have bought mine from Puma stores and Puma outlets. They've been normally around $10-15 for two pairs. The Puma stores also have a regular special for buy one and get the second pair for 50% off. I guess these would be a good deal for anyone who doesn't have access to a Puma store or shipping from the online Puma store.
