I've always wanted to try Quarriors, but I dunno if I'm willing to drop $150 on it.

ToneDeezyWith such a smallish base of installed players out there, it is difficult to get a chance to feel out Quarriors, since no one pulls it off their shelf. The strategy side of the game is good, but not GREAT. It's a dice game, so it immediately turns off some hobbyist gamers. To overcome, you have to make it an exercise in probability; then strategize from there. I have two of the listed expansions (LvD and Qladiator) and still pull it out from time to time. My kids enjoy playing it and will call for it at times as well. It's hard to drop $140 on a game which might not fit, so I'd suggest that if you are into: DiceMasters or CCGs/DBGs, you might find this to be enjoyable. The MM pricing above is also fairly consistent - I occasionally can find LvD under 20. IF you find Rise of the Demons, it is OOP and hard to find. I have not played it, but highly recommend picking it up because it is rare-ish. When I see RotD show up on the secondary market, they are well over MSRP. I recommend this game, but don't expect Agricola or Lords of Waterdeep or Legendary. Expect to chuck a lot of dice, which is great for new gamers to the hobby and the kid set. There's underlying strategy in optimizing your target pick ups. Also grab QASU Quarriors for your android (prob iOS too) so you can randomize without cards. MUCH easier than dealing with a deck of randomizers.
