If you whittle, you'll find the 1095 to be an advantage over D2...gets sharper, sharpens faster.

Well... I don't know much about traditional knives. But I just searched for this same knife and found it for the same price, but with D2 steel, which is a better steel. I'm not sure how great of a deal this drop is.

PapaEmeritusI searched more and I found that the knives with 1095 steel are around 60 dollars. So I guess that means this drop is a ripoff.

These classic slip joint knives making a comeback, love it! Do be warned 1095 will rust up on you, keep it dry and clean.
