AnentI have both of these.
The AL Pull-On is definitely beefier. it is thicker, less breathable and weighs more. It could be warmer but I'm not actually sure.
I always use the 120 as base layer and never as a secondary layer.
I often use the AL as a secondary layer too.
Also, these run SUPER SMALL. I recommend sizing up, especially if you're not skinny.
for reference, size Small is tiny! barely fits a teenager/asian fit !
LQDForceThanks, I dropped on the AL. Chest size XL but waist size L according to their measurement specs— rather than going by letter size. Got the XL and it fit accurately.
LQDForceThanks for commenting on the fit. My chest size is 40" so according to the size chart I should take size M.
I understand these are slim fit, so I guess even if I take size M it's gonna be body hugging? Since you use it as a base layer, did you size up or get your usual size?
jcwcAs a base layer, tight is better; unless you’re using it as an ‘only layer,’ in which case I would size up. In my case, my chest size (not waist size) forced me to size up on the AL drop.—the waist is too large, but I’m typically using it as a mid or outer layer.
