Not sure if I've already commented on this last time but this jacket is awesome.
Have had mine about 1-2 years, shows almost no wear and is still just as warm as the day I bought it. Has been overseas with me but given I live in Australia it's rare I use it these days.
Will probably drag it along for winter in Tasmania.
Fit is excellent and the extended back hem is a great feature, you can sit in snow and not get wet. The details of this jacket are amazing, nice long cuffs, good velcro closures, solid wire brim, helmet compatability etc.
Similar jackets would be Montbell Frost Smoke Parka, or even the new line of Plasma 1000s parkas that are a bit lighter than this.

Hello. Interested in this jacket Never been in a massdrop before. Is there a hidden catch here? Is this jacket the same as one I'd buy full price from a regular dealer? Is the QC the same or is it more prone to defects? Does it carry a warranty by the manufacturer or by massdrop? Thanks!

These are marvelous coats. We bought 2 in an earlier drop. One point that should be made clear - women sizes are UK Sizes. The equivalency is UK 10 = US 8, UK 12 = US 10, etc... I am replacing my wife's "size 10" from an earlier drop with a "size 12" as a result of this discrepancy. When giving sizing, probably best to establish which norm you are using, and what the equivalencies are. My men's large is fine, but you may avoid customer service issues with a bit of clarity on sizing where there is some ambiguity.

dream3We lived with the sizing, went to Iceland, etc..., and the coats were very useful. In the middle of the winter my wife commented that it was smaller than she would like. That's when a closer look revealed "size 10" was U.K. Size 10, US SMALL, etc... With a new drop I am buying my wife a "12," which is US 10, and we will pass along the initial "10." Replace, not repeal/replace.

The group's order arrived a little later than expected due to a UPS delay. Once the bulk shipment arrived with us, our warehouse quickly inventoried everything and they were able to get the individual orders packed up. They're awaiting pickup and will ship tomorrow.
