A lightweight, packable pull-on that breathes well and dries fast, the Rab Paradox is the ultimate layering piece for the mountain. Wear it on its own in milder weather, or in conjunction with warmer layers with conditions take a turn for the extreme. The Paradox uses high-gauge polyester fabrics and the lightest Polartec Alpha insulation available to provide active warmth (compared to a down jacket’s static warmth) for when you’re working hard. Technical features include a half-hem drawcord, a chin guard, and elasticated cuffs. The contrasting YKK front zipper adds a pop of color, and is complete with an internal insulating flap.
Note: At checkout, you’ll have your choice of size, from men’s S to XXL, as well as color: Ebony, May, or Mimosa.
Rab was founded by Scottish mountaineer Rab Carrington in 1980s—but the seed for the company was planted much earlier. In 1973, Carrington found himself in Buenos Aires, his expedition to Patagonia aborted due to a UK dock strike that had delayed the arrival of his equipment. He decided to stick around, and took up work sewing sleeping bags for the Argentinian army. Today, those skills and ethos of adventure can be seen in Rab’s full line of performance clothing, sleeping bags, mountaineering tents, and extreme expedition gear.
